Stolen bikes

These bikes have been reported stolen by their owners. If you spot one — at a car boot sale, on Gumtree, in a bike shop — report the sighting. You could be the reason an owner gets their bike back.

How sightings work

If you spot a bike you think matches one in this gallery — on a marketplace listing, in a shop window, being ridden near you — tap "Report a sighting" on the card.

You don't need an account. Give a location, a brief description of where you saw it, and optionally a photo. The owner and local police are notified immediately.

We pass sighting information to owners and police — but please don't approach anyone you suspect of theft. Contact police if you believe a stolen bike is being offered for sale.

How sightings lead to recoveries

Quick actions if your bike was stolen

  • Report it stolen on BikeRegister immediately
  • File a crime report with your local police
  • Post on local Facebook groups and Gumtree with your reference number
  • Check this gallery regularly — sightings can come in weeks later

Your bike could end up in this gallery.

Registration takes under two minutes and gives police the information they need to return your bike if it's recovered. It's the one thing that makes a real difference to the odds.

The owner has been notified and local police have been alerted.

If the bike is recovered, the owner may want to share that news with you — that's why leaving your email is useful.
